Academic Program
IIE works with corporations, established businesses, law firms, research institutes, museums, libraries, post-secondary accredited educational institutions and similar types of host organizations to sponsor international participants who conduct research, lecture, observe, or consult in exchange programs lasting from three weeks to five years.
The primary purpose of BridgeUSA programs in these categories is to foster the exchange of ideas between Americans and foreign nationals, to stimulate international collaborative research efforts, and to share specialized skills.
Academic Program Application
For programs in the Research Scholar, Professor, Short-term Scholar, Specialist and College and University Student/Student non-degree categories. Participants in these categories research, lecture, study, observe and/or demonstrate special skill or knowledge.
- Research Scholar, Professor & Short-term Scholar: For professors, researchers, post-/pre-doc, graduate students, doctors, attorneys (or similar) to lecture, observe, research or consult in connection with research project. Up to five years in duration.

- Specialist: A recognized expert in a field of specialized knowledge or skill who will consult or demonstrate special knowledge or skill. Up 1-year duration.

- College and University Students: International students participate in a full-time degree or non-degree study program at an accredited post-secondary academic institution.
