205 institutions enrolling 795,062 graduate students responded to the GLO Survey, representing:
- 33% of U.S. graduate students
- 12% of U.S. institutions
Note: Percentages include graduate level students enrolled at U.S. institutions with at least 50% of students enrolled in non-distance education programs in 2016.
Based on the criteria in the table below, the GLO Survey sample is representative of U.S. institutions. There is an intentional overrepresentation of large, public research institutions in order to represent a higher proportion of graduate students in the United States.
