Student mobility has long been one of the primary metrics to understand the impact and success of international education initiatives. With restricted mobility, virtual programming, and new priorities, mobility data alone cannot capture the value of internationalization. What definitions and concepts do we – or should we – use to understand achievement? The Spring 2022 IIENetworker magazine, The Metrics Issue: The Evolution of Data & Assessment in International Education, provides case studies, useful tools, and experts reflecting on new language and methods to articulate the impact and value of international education.
