The Nancy Petry Scholarship for Study Abroad, administered by the Institute of International Education until 2012, provided financial support for students enrolled in graduate programs at U.S. universities to study abroad.
The Petry Scholarship was open to U.S. citizens enrolled in a graduate studies program at an IIE Educational Associate Institution of higher learning in the Rocky Mountain region. Applicants demonstrated commitment to serious study abroad as a complement to academic and career goals. Students were not restricted to certain countries or fields of study although the committee encourages applicants in the fields of environmental studies, international business, or economics.
