O. Temple Sloan, Jr. Founder’s Scholarship Program

Since 2003, IIE has administered the O. Temple Sloan Jr. Founder’s Scholarship Program. IIE undertakes the following activities on behalf of Advance Auto Parts to administer the program:

  • Consult with Advance Auto Parts on the design of application materials and the methods for distribution of materials to eligible employees or their children
  • Manage all program correspondence
  • Send an appropriate scholarship application form to each qualified applicant who expresses interest
  • Receive and validate completion of submitted applications and supplemental documents
  • Facilitate an independent selection process
  • Evaluate the financial need of applicants
  • Notify both recipients and non-recipients of the scholarship awards
  • Issue payments to scholarship recipients upon receipt of confirmation of full-time enrollment
