The Midwifery Training Scholarship and Capacity Building Program is sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). This project aims to strengthen the midwifery model in México as part of the wider efforts to improve maternal health.

The program has two main components. It seeks to support midwifery students to enroll and continue with their courses or social service practicum. It also supports capacity building of institutions that offer midwifery courses to strengthen human resources and finance administration, academic curriculum and support for graduate students

• Scholarships for midwifery students
• Scholarships for midwifery students completing their social service practicum
• Grants for schools or universities that require technical assistance
