About the Midwifery Training Scholarship and Capacity Building Program

The Midwifery Training Scholarship and Capacity Building Program is sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). This project aims to strengthen the midwifery model in México as part of the wider efforts to improve maternal health. In 2015 the MacArthur Foundation office in Mexico launched a three year strategy to improve maternal and reproductive health through the strengthening of professional midwifery in the country.
