Application Process
The Fulbright Commission in Paris gathers applications and sends them to IIE where they are reviewed for completeness and eligibility. Once this is done, a selection panel is convened and finalists chosen.
Eligibility
Students must be those who participated in the French Resistance movement during the World War II, or are the children or descendants of those who took part in the Movement. The student must provide their own transportation, and be self-placed in an American program or have applied for admission. The student must register, take required admission tests, and have a working knowledge of English.
Awards
A one-time award is granted to one or two students for graduate study for a 12 month period. The amount of the award varies from year to year depending on the endowment’s market performance, but normally ranges from $6,000 to $12,000.
