IAPP Vietnam
In celebration of 30 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Vietnam, IIE is thrilled to announce Vietnam as the next focus country for the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP). Thanks to generous sponsorship and collaboration from the Mission Vietnam, IAPP Vietnam is dedicated to developing new partnerships and deepening existing ones between U.S. and Vietnamese institutions of higher education. As a participant of IAPP Vietnam, you and your institution will be guided through developing a campus-wide strategic plan for engaging with partners in Vietnam. This comprehensive, 9-month program includes guided strategic planning, mentorship, informational webinars, and a study tour to Vietnam. During the study tour, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the Vietnamese higher education system, as well as explore opportunities for partnerships and new connections with key decision makers in the region. The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will help select participating Vietnamese institutions.
STEM FOCUS
Prioritization is focused on higher education institutions that provide education and training in key technology fields for digital transformation and green transformation such as information and communication technology (ICT), semiconductor circuit boards (VMBD), artificial intelligence (AI), automation (TU), biotechnology (CNSH), advanced materials (VLTT) and green energy (NLX). Other critical areas include international law, agriculture and sustainability, healthcare, education, Southeast Asian studies, and Vietnamese language studies.
