January 27, 2020, 2:00 – 3:00 PM EST – “Critical Topics in International STEM Education: The Importance of Mentorship, Role Models, and Managing Your Networks”
As more STEM students engage in international experiences, developing and maintaining a network of STEM relationships and identifying strong mentors and coaches becomes ever more important. While studying or researching abroad, STEM students’ build professional and personal relationships with faculty, regional experts in STEM and fellow student peers. Their experience abroad and the network they build can lead to future research, collaboration, partnership and even employment possibilities. This webinar shared best practices from different STEM-based perspectives on identifying mentors, establishing an international network, and maintaining relationships.
