NEW YORK, April 3, 2024 – The Institute of International Education (IIE), the non-partisan world leader in international educational exchange, scholar rescue, and steward of prestigious programs such as the Fulbright Scholarships on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, proudly announces the promotion of longstanding Executive Team member Jonah Kokodyniak to the role of Executive Vice President, Program Development and Partner Services.
With over 15 years of dedicated service to IIE, Jonah has become an indispensable asset to the organization’s executive echelon. Throughout his tenure, Jonah has spearheaded the inception of groundbreaking educational initiatives in collaboration with prominent multinational corporations, private foundations, and various U.S. government entities alongside international counterparts.

In his expanded role, Jonah will retain leadership over several critical domains within the Institute, including Corporate and Foundation Programs, Program Development and Proposal Management, Research, Evaluation and Learning, as well as oversight of IIE’s offices in China, India, Thailand, and Mexico. Additionally, he will continue to serve on the board of the Indonesian International Education Foundation (IIEF), playing a pivotal role in expanding IIE’s initiatives supporting refugee and displaced students. Notable among these efforts are the establishment of IIE’s Odyssey Scholarship, the Qatar Scholarship for Afghanistan Project, and IIE’s response initiatives in Ukraine.

Jonah Kokodyniak holds an M.A. with Honors from the New School for Social Research and a B.A. from the University of Vermont. He has augmented his academic credentials with training from esteemed institutions such as Columbia Business School, the MIT Sloan School of Management, and the Center for Creative Leadership.
