A comprehensive internationalization strategy is an essential part of the strategic planning of U.S. higher education institutions. Vulnerable and displaced students play an important role in realizing institutional internationalization goals. Successfully identifying and admitting these students often requires a specific skill set and tools. Learn best practices from Senior International Officers (SIOs) and Admissions’ Officers during this joint IIE PEER – AACRAO workshop.

About IIE PEER and AACRAO
In response to the world’s global education emergencies, IIE – with support from the Catalyst Foundation for Universal Education – developed the Platform for Education in Emergencies Response (IIE PEER), an online clearinghouse to enable displaced and refugee students to find educational opportunities so they may continue formal and informal higher education.
AACRAO is a non-profit, voluntary, professional association of more than 11,000 higher education professionals who represent approximately 2,600 institutions in more than 40 countries. Its mission is to provide professional development, guidelines, and voluntary standards to be used by higher education officials regarding the best practices in records management, admissions, enrollment management, administrative information technology, and student services. AACRAO represents institutions in every part of the higher education community, from large public institutions to small, private liberal arts colleges.
