IAPP is a comprehensive program that guides colleges and universities through the development of a strategic plan to increase meaningful, long-lasting academic partnerships with institutions in a particular focus country. IAPP provides institutions with the tools to take partnership building to the next level.
What services are offered?
Strategic Planning Guidance
A holistic process for assessing on-campus international partnership capacity and developing practical strategic plans for partnership activities in the focus country.
Expert Mentorship
Top experts in academic partnership development are connected with participants and serve as a resource to provide guidance throughout the program.
Delegation
IIE leads a week-long delegation to the focus country that may include visits to select higher education institutions, the U.S. embassy, EducationUSA centers, the Fulbright Commission, and other educational exchange organizations.
Virtual Trainings
IIE, the program’s Advisory Board, and experts on higher education in the focus country lead a series of training webinars on topics such as implementing strategic partnerships, promoting faculty engagement, developing a consolidated partnership strategy, and higher education in the focus country.
Informational Resources
Program participants are provided with a suite of information resources on the higher education systems in the focus country, IIE publications, and policy research reports.
Alumni Network
IIE works to connect alumni of past IAPPs to promote greater collaboration and sharing of best practices.
