The Institute of International Education (IIE) was founded in 1919 on the belief that education makes the world a more just, equitable, and peaceful place. We deliver transformative opportunities in more than 180 countries to educate future leaders, place threatened artists and scholars in safety, aid international students during emergencies, and expand educational opportunities to displaced individuals worldwide.

IIE Signature Initiatives

IIE Emergency Student Fund
IIE’s Emergency Student Fund provides grants to international college students in the U.S. when natural disasters, war, or other crises in their home countries threaten their education. Learn more about the Emergency Student Fund.
