TOEFL ITP®
Shape your students’ futures with the TOEFL ITP® tests.
TOEFL ITP® tests share the prestige and legacy of the TOEFL®, the world’s most recognized English test. Administering them directly at your institution allows you to control scheduling, group size, and test frequency. With multiple versions available, the tests can be administered year-round.
The TOEFL ITP® assesses essential English skills with 100% academic content, similar to what students encounter in real educational environments. It can be used to:
- Determine placement and exit levels in English programs.
- Monitor academic progress.
- Support scholarship programs and assess admissions for short-term, nondegree programs.
- Measure readiness for universities where English is not the primary language.
- Administer university exit exams, among other uses.
Alignment with National and International Standards
- National Language Certification (CENNI): In Mexico, TOEFL ITP® scores can be used to obtain the CENNI Certification, issued by the General Directorate of Accreditation, Incorporation, and Revalidation (DGAIR). This official certification validates proficiency in foreign languages.
- Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR): TOEFL ITP® Level 1 scores align with four CEFR levels, enabling comparison with international language proficiency standards.
