Rajika Bhandari, Ph.D., is a scholar-practitioner in international higher education, author of the award-winning book, America Calling: A Foreign Student in a Country of Possibility, and the host of the World Wise podcast on education, culture, and migration. Quoted frequently in the global press, she is a leading researcher, a widely published author, and keynote speaker on international students and international education. She is the founder of Rajika Bhandari Advisors, offering evidence-based strategic guidance to nonprofits, multilateral organizations, and higher education institutions, and also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration. Dr. Bhandari previously spent over a decade at IIE leading the research, evaluation, and thought leadership portfolio. She has also served on the US National Commission to UNESCO, and as an adjunct professor at Teachers College.
