Ángel Cabrera
Ángel Cabrera is president of the Georgia Institute of Technology, a leading research university committed to developing leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition. Previously he led George Mason University in Virginia, Thunderbird School of Global Management (now part of Arizona State University), and IE Business School in Madrid. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech and B.S. and M.S. in engineering from Universidad Politécnica of Madrid. He’s the first Spanish born president of an American university. A former Fulbright scholar, he has been recognized as Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Henry Crown Fellow by Aspen Institute, and Great Immigrant by the Carnegie Corporation and has received honorary degrees from his alma mater in Spain and Miami Dade College.
