Capacity Building

IIE has a proven track record building partnerships for leadership development with public institutions. For over five years, IIE pioneered leadership development within the Ministry of Energy and Electricity and Telecom Egypt, under the USAID Leadership Development Program (LDP). In addition, over 65,000 Egyptians participated in IIE-administered programs under the USAID Development Training II (DT2) Project, including over 6,000 professionals who trained in the U.S. and other countries.

Professional Development

IIE works with world-class trainers and facilitators to deliver leadership programs that meet the strategic and performance enhancement needs of institutions in the region. Through unique experiential and developmental learning processes participants – typically in teams – learn effective leadership approaches and practices. IIE supports local institutions – both public and private – to identify their high potential emerging leaders and prepare them for larger leadership roles.

Scholarship Management

IIE specializes in the management of sponsored undergraduate and graduate scholarships that provide MENA region students study opportunities in the region and worldwide. IIE MENA, working with a network of local partners region-wide, provides a full range of services that include student outreach, recruitment, selection, pre-departure logistics and orientation, enrichment and alumni programs.

Youth Development

IIE youth programs utilize leadership principles to foster character building, life and work readiness skills, and community volunteerism. IIE works in partnership with schools, universities, youth centers, career centers, and NGOs to create programs that build their capacity and enrich the lives and opportunities of participating youth.
