The Open Doors® Report on International Educational Exchange is the only long-standing, comprehensive information resource on international students and scholars in the United States and on American students studying abroad for academic credit.
Open Doors features detailed analyses and data, and is the essential resource for those concerned with U.S. international educational exchange. IIE, one of the largest and most experienced higher education exchange agencies in the world, has conducted an annual statistical survey of international educational exchange activity into and out of the United States since 1948, with support from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs since 1972. The results of the survey are published annually as the Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange.
