Research for Impact in Development

The Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC) was a global network of academic researchers, providing rapid and on-demand research expertise for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote evidence-based policies and programs. Through research, specialized training, and short-term technical assistance, RTAC advanced the impact of USAID’s development investments in a variety of sectors, worldwide. RTAC was led by NORC at the University of Chicago, with support from IIE and other consortium partners, from 2018 through 2024.
