GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program Announces Czech Winners

Award ceremony awardee

May 25, 2010—Ten new Czech winners of the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program were announced at an award ceremony on May 25, 2010, generously hosted by the US Embassy's American Center in Prague. Speakers included David Gainer, Cultural Attache, US Embassy; Leslaw Kuzaj, GE Regional Executive for Central Europe; Weston Stacey, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic; and Wagaye Johannes, Assistant Director of IIE Europe. This is the sixth year of the program in the Czech Republic. The award includes 3.000 Euros, participation in a Leadership Development Program together with fellow winners from Hungary, Poland and Romania, a shadowing opportunity with GE in the Czech Republic, and community service.
