Steve Fisher is an independent executive coach focused on leadership development in multi-cultural, global businesses. Previously, Mr. Fisher was Senior Client Partner and Regional Leader of Korn/Ferry International's Industrial Practice based in the firm’s Shanghai office. He lived in Asia for fifteen years before returning to the United States.
Previously, Mr. Fisher was with A. T. Kearney where he was elected an Officer of the firm in 1996 and established the company’s Search Practice in Asia. He was based initially in Hong Kong and later in Chicago. During his tenure, he served as Global President; Vice President, North America; Vice President, Asia Pacific; and Vice President, Hong Kong.
Prior to his ten years with A.T. Kearney, Mr. Fisher led KPMG's General Management Consulting Practice in Hong Kong. Earlier in his career, he served as Financial Planning Manager for a division of Levi Straus & Co. in San Francisco and later served as Chief Financial Officer of a natural resources company and Principal of an investment management company. He subsequently served as a member of the executive team in two turnaround situations: as Chief Financial Officer of a biotech company based in Silicon Valley, and as Chief Executive Officer of a manufacturing company based in San Francisco.
Mr. Fisher is Chairman of the Asia Council and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education. Mr. Fisher was previously the Vice Chairman and board member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants and a past President and Director of the American Club of Hong Kong.
Mr. Fisher earned a master’s in business administration and bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Detroit.
