Flinn Scholars Summer Seminar in Central and Eastern Europe
The Flinn Scholars Summer Seminar, organized by the Institute of International Education European Office, is one component of the Flinn Scholars Program, which is administered by the Flinn Foundation based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Flinn Foundation Scholarship, awarded annually to 20 outstanding Arizona high school seniors, provides full scholarships for four-year degree programs offered through Arizona's public university system.
The goal of the Flinn Summer Seminar is to open the students' eyes and minds to this part of the world, give them an understanding of realities outside the United States, challenge their ideas and provoke thought about world issues. To achieve this goal, IIE has put together a diverse program, addressing issues from politics to architecture, opera to economics.
