Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in the Geosciences or Petroleum related field
  • Demonstrate a history of academic excellence and native fluency in Russian
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership skills and cultural competency
  • Hold a valid Russian passport (Applicants do not currently need to reside in Russia but must demonstrate citizenship)
  • Show proficiency in English

On the 17 of April, 2014 the Home Office for the United Kingdom confirmed that the Education Testing Services (ETS) license to carry out secure English language testing (including TOEFL among others) for immigration purposes had come to an end and would not be extended. Visit the UKBA website for more information.  You are advised to take or prepare to take the IELTS exam since it is one of the preferred tests for U.K university application and is accepted by most universities in the U.S.A. Both the TOEFL and IELTS are accepted tests for the purposes of the scholarship.
