What is the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program?

The Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP)* is a one-year, non-degree program for Brazilian students to study abroad in the United States. BSMP is part of the Brazilian government's larger initiative to grant 100,000 Brazilian university students the opportunity to study abroad at the world's best colleges and universities.

Who Should Apply

Candidates must first be nominated by their Brazilian university and approved by CAPES and CNPq to participate in the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program.

    It has come to IIE's attention that a fraudulent email account (iiemycusthelp[at]gmail[dot]com) has been used to contact two students and provide false information regarding their programs. IIE does not own, use or endorse this email address. It is possible that this false email address is an attempt at phishing—an illegal attempt to obtain personal information from people for identity theft or other criminal purposes.
