IIE president Allan Goodman presents testimony on student visas to the House Subcommittee on Research and Science Education

IIE President and CEO Allan Goodman was invited to present testimony to the House Science and Technology Committee's Subcommittee on Research and Science Education hearing on February 7, 2008, regarding the visa process for foreign science and engineering students and scholars. This was the first in a series of hearings on how to strengthen science diplomacy efforts in the United States, in an effort to examine the role that the federal government can and should play in fostering international scientific cooperation and collaboration. University Presidents' Delegation to Southeast Asia in June 2008

Fellowships for Threatened Scholars from Iraq IIE invites qualifying Iraqi scholars or their nominators to apply to the Iraq Scholar Rescue Project, a special division of IIE's Scholar Rescue Fund.


The Emerging Markets Development Advisers Program (EMDAP) offers 10-12 month assignments for U.S. MBA or Masters program graduates - Deadline May 9, 2008


New KAUST Discovery Scholarships for Undergraduates in Science and Technology Deadline May 11, 2008


The Freeman ASSIST Program offers summer internship allowances for outstanding undergraduates from East and Southeast Asia - Deadline May 15, 2008


The Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Studies is offered to priests and members of the laity for the purpose of studying at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), to obtain either a License or Doctoral Degree in Theology with a concentration in Interreligious Studies. Deadline July 1, 2008.


IIE Higher Education Fairs in Asia - Fall 2008 To help institutions establish and maintain a presence in Asia, IIE invites all U.S. campuses to participate in IIE's U.S. Higher Education Fairs in Asia. Fairs are held in October 2008 in cities throughout Asia. Application Deadline: July 31, 2008
